Toss a Coin to Your Witcher

Updated: Feb 26, 2020

I know I’m a little late to the party (five years late!) but I’m among those who picked up The Witcher III: Wild Hunt after seeing Netflix’s newest fantasy show The Witcher, based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski‘s book series of the same name. In fact, I’m just one of 94,000+ players who found themselves journeying through the Northern Kingdoms after the show debuted.

I’ve only just left White Orchard, the game’s first open-world area, and I’ve already encountered the ferocious beasts, vast wilderness, and political tension we all have come to expect from The Witcher. Wild Hunt features an immersive alchemy and crafting system with hundreds of materials you can harvest to create gear and supplies. You have to strategize and plan before your battles, even more so if you're like me and are playing on the Death March difficulty.

Wild Hunt is a true Witcher title if ever there was one, and I'm excited to play it between episodes of the equally amazing Netflix original series. If you haven't played the games or seen the show yet, go ahead and toss a coin to your witcher - you won't regret it.

I'll be creating a new post that will be updated as I progress through this massive, beautiful game. Check it out!
